Kyle Hughes Odgers is an Australian visual artist, illustrator and painter. Working in many various mediums, he manages to tell his stories and creates a world inhibited by charming, easily-recognizable characters. Born in 1981, he grew up obsessed with drawing and painting, with a desire to study fine art or illustration after school. He currently has 5 children's books published in Australia, New Zealand, Spain and China. In 2013 Kyle Hughes Odgers and Meg Mckinlay (Author) won the SCBWI Crystal Kite Award for Australia/New Zealand for the children’s book Ten Tiny Things published through Fremantle Press.
In the past 10 years he has held exhibitions and worked on public art projects across Australia and internationally. He works across various scales and mediums from painting and drawing in the studio, to gallery exhibitions and large scale public artwork.
Kyle Hughes Odgers est un artiste peintre et illustrateur australien. Travaillant sur différents supports, il parvient à raconter des histoires et créer un monde remplis de personnages charmants et facilement reconnaissables.
Né en 1981, il grandit obsédé par le dessin et la peinture, avec le désir d'étudier les beaux-arts ou l'illustration après l'école. Il a actuellement 5 livres pour enfants publiés en Australie, en Nouvelle-Zélande, en Espagne et en Chine. Au cours des 10 dernières années, il a organisé des expositions et travaillé sur des projets d'art public en Australie et à l'étranger. Il travaille à différentes échelles: de la peinture et du dessin en studio aux expositions en galerie et aux œuvres d'art publiques en très grand format.
